In 2015 The Rotary of Woonsocket commissioned Riverzedge Arts to design a logo for their annual Rotary Days events. A coworker and I would collaborate to draft an initial concept, which would be deemed perfect first go.
This was one of the first projects I worked on that would required me to use a brand guideline, which was a good challenge.
Summertime in New England means water, water, water! And the text "Woonsocket Rotary Days" reads as an experience worth remembering, so the setting sun added to the nostalgia. Notice that the river and sun appear to be partially blocked by a hill, representing the "valley" that is The Blackstone Valley.
